Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

Type: Full-time, Non-exempt
Starting Wage Range: $16 – $20 hourly, Depending upon experience

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Timely, accurate processing of accounts payable and other duties as assigned
  • Sort accounting mail and deliver to addressees
  • Match packing lists, invoices and purchase orders and enter invoice into system
  • Resolve any discrepancies between purchase orders, packing lists and invoices
  • Monitor materials returned to vendors for credit or replacement
  • Monitor AP aging to ensure payments are current
  • Set up and maintain vendor files
  • Respond to vendor inquiries
  • Balance “Received Not Invoiced” report to the general ledger and resolve any discrepancies
  • Provide copies of packing lists and C of C’s upon request
  • Review GL coding on invoices
  • Review sales tax assessments on invoices
  • Review and replenish petty cash
  • Prepare AP checks for signature weekly
  • Prepare GL account analysis on AP-related accounts
  • Filing
  • Assist with monthly reporting
  • Assist with tax and financial audits

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One year accounts payable experience
  • Must be a U.S. person as defined in ITAR, 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident) and defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AA Degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years accounts payable experience
