Position Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Reports to: Operations Manager
o The manufacturing engineer position develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.
• Manufacturing Process Support
o Carries out product process improvement, problem resolution, project management and employee training.
o Improves product manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
o Prepares and presents plans for the above and coordinate deployment including training of team members.
o Assists operations manager/leads in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedures, safety, quality control and training.
o Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
o Create and maintain QMS procedures as related to engineering functions
o Maintain processes as the designated process owner.
o Corrective action evaluation, resolution, and solutions for product-based variation
o Documentations support as needed.
o Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
o Designs, develops and tests and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
o Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
o Responsible for oversight of products through the entire manufacturing process, monitoring yields through process & inspection tollgates, and taking action as necessary to improve yield and overall product flow
o Effectively communicate with all SFE departments
o Demonstrate leadership qualities

o Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
o Provides input into the quoting process and collaborates with project managers to identify labor, tooling, and equipment required for new and existing programs.
2 year college degree
1 year relevant experience
Familiarity with standard computer applications
Excellent verbal/written interpersonal skills
Excellent computer skills
Familiarity with problem solving techniques
Be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline
3 years previous electronics assembly experience
Formal Lean Manufacturing training (classes and/or certificate)
A passion for analytical problem solving
Previous experience with Aegis Checkpoint/CircuitCAM
